Save this story Save Story Save this story After the Air Jordan 9 ‘Space Jam’ made its return last month, it felt like only a matter of time before the most iconic sneakers from the movie followed suit. Now, for the first time since 2016 and just the second time since the film’s release, the Air Jordan 11 ‘Space Jam’—i.e. the kicks MJ laces up in the final game against the Monstars—is officially coming back. And it’s not alone.
Last night, Jordan Brand unveiled the full scope of their plans for Space Jam ’s big 3-0, and it’s a whopper. In addition to the re-released AJ11 ‘Space Jam’—with its familiar black ballistic mesh uppers, black patent leather mudguard, white soles, and blue Jumpman logo—the beloved silhouette is getting two two brand-new colorways. There’s the Air Jordan 11 ‘Mirror Ball,’ a women’s exclusive model decked out in a reflective leather that shifts in tone depending on how the light hits it, a nod to the magic basketball that the Monstars use to steal the on-court abilities of Charles Barkley, Patrick Ewing, and their NBA brethren (this is a normal movie). And then there’s the Air Jordan 11 ‘Green Screen,’ a suede iteration in bright green inspired by behind-the-scenes photos of MJ on the hybrid movie’s set , with some carrot-orange accents as a tribute to Bugs Bunny.
Alongside that trio are a couple of cleated AJ11s designed for football and baseball, respectively, a handful of other sneaker releases, and an extensive array of apparel. But as ever, the core Air Jordan 11 remains the big news here. For many years, the Tinker Hatfield-designed masterpiece was one of the most protected shoes in the Nike universe, trotted out just once a year at the holidays and never made available to collaborators. That all changed last year, however, when Jordan Brand marked the silhouette’s 30th birthday with a whopping nine-shoe collection that proved controversial with collectors, felt somewhat disposable upon release, and seemed to hurt the sneaker’s legendary reputation overall.
In 2026, the brand has continued to experiment with the Air Jordan 11, opening it up to new milestones and creative approaches—mostly in ways that have rehabilitated its allure among sneakerheads. First, in July, the Tokyo Giants received player-exclusive cleats that riffed on the classic ‘Bred’ colorway with a spectacular floral print across the mudguard. Then, last month, the first-ever first-ever AJ11 collaboration dropped, a luxurious and stripped-down banger designed by longtime Nike partner Commes des Garçons. That shoe was a quiet hit, the legend of which is sure to only grow over time. And now, they’re going all-out with another multi-shoe collection to mark a major anniversary—only this time, the execution feels far more in sync with Jordan lore.
If you’re ready to come on and slam and get welcomed to the jam, the entire Air Jordan ‘Space Jam’ collection drops November 5 via SNKRS, Foot Locker, and select retailers.
