Defense lawyer sobs in court while cross-examining mother of two kids his drunk driver client killed
A defense lawyer broke down while questioning the mother of two children killed by his client after she crashed her car into a birthday party while drunk. Bill Colovos, the attorney for accused Marshella Chidester, 67, broke down in tears as he prepared to cross-examine Mariah Dodds over a horror incident in April 2023 that killed her two children and left her severely injured. Dodds' two children Zayn Phillips, 4, and his sister, Alanah Phillips, 8, were tragically killed when a car driven by Chidester smashed into a birthday party for Dodds' godson at the Swan Boat Club in Berlin Township, Michigan.
