Markets rally as Mexico tariffs halted after Trump convinces neighbor to send 10,000 troops to the border

Mexico has managed to delay President Donald Trump's 25 per cent tariff on goods for at least a month by agreeing to send 10,000 troops to the border. Stocks trimmed some losses after the announcement but remained deep in the red. The S&P 500 dipped about 0.8 percent after Mexico's update, while the tech-heavy Nasdaq remained down more than 1 percent. Global stocks had plunged on Monday morning after Trump announced wide-reaching tariffs on Mexico, Canada and China, over the weekend.
