FBI agents are 'living a nightmare' as Donald Trump launches new attack to shrink agency
The FBI is now anticipating a workforce reduction amid President Donald Trump's push to save money and weed out the bureaucracy across the entire federal government. The Trump administration has asked the FBI – and all other agencies – to hand over the names of staffers who are still on probation, a period in the federal government that usually lasts the first full year of employment. They also want the bureau to turn over a list of anyone who has been with the FBI for less than two years.
