The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly fired special teams coordinator Brian Schneider after a disappointing 2024 season. The 49ers reached last year's Super Bowl, where they were beaten in overtime by the Kansas City Chiefs. This season, however, San Francisco missed out on the playoffs after finishing with a 6-11 record. Team CEO Jed York has nevertheless confirmed that head coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch will remain in post next season.
