(Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) Halloween Horror The fact that UFC hosted an event on Halloween was pretty badass. The fact that three fights featured gnarly cuts was just icing on the bloody cake.

The first jump scare occurred during a welterweight fight between Rodrigo Sezinando and Theodor Berggren. Sezinando ended up slicing Berggren's lip open so bad that the doctor stepped in to pull the plug on the action. Another doctor's stoppage happened during a welterweight scrap involving Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani and Farman Hasanov. Lebosnoyani turned Hasanov's face into a horror movie and that bout was eventually waved off due to a cut around the eye.

Finally, the co-main event between Jacobe Smith and Randy Brown also featured a nasty cut. It opened up above Brown's eye, but luckily "Rude Boy" was able to continue and fought all three rounds.

(Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) JPL Is The Real Deal The UFC's welterweight division has some of the fastest rising contenders in the sport and it might be time to add Jean-Paul Lebosnoyani to that list.

In just a few Octagon appearances, the former LFA standout has shown he can do it all. From wrestling to wild strikes, "JPL" has quickly become a name to watch at 170 pounds. Saturday was another chance for "The American Bandit" to prove he deserves a top 15 matchup. Lebosnoyani was going up against a takedown-hungry monster in Farman Hasanov, who scored 17 takedowns in his UFC debut earlier this year.

Despite Hasanov's size and takedown ability, Lebosnoyani wasn't detered. Lebosnoyani defended four out of six total takedowns and outscored Hasanov 2-1 in significant strikes. It was pretty much a dominant performance by Lebosnoyani, who eventually ended the fight with a second-round TKO.

(Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC) Big Dan Spoiled The Show Referee Dan Miragliotta completely changed the direction of Saturday's main event and nobody's forgotten about it.

Renato Moicano was having much success with his grappling in the early going of UFC Halloween's headliner against Tom Nolan. In fact, "Money" spent minutes on Nolan's back in the first round. Moicano went back to the well in the second and was once again on Nolan's back. There wasn't a ton of damage being done, but Moicano's position should have spoken for itself. After all, he's a world-class submission expert who could have ended the fight at any second.

A few moments later and referee Miragliotta is calling for a standup. He stood the fight up while Moicano had Nolan's back on the ground. It's not something seen all that often in MMA and a decision that ultimately cost Moicano the fight, as Nolan scored a third-round TKO to close the show.

Of course, fight fans were not happy about the call. Many questioned why the fight was stood up if Moicano had back control while others went the extreme route claiming there was some foul play by Miragliota. We'll trust Miragliota was operating with a clear conscious, but the decision to stand the fight up is still a bit confusing.
