Lisa Lake // Getty Images Kylie Kelce just opened up about childcare for her and Jason Kelce’s four daughters, confirming that—like many celebs—they do rely on help from a nanny. But only during the day!
Speaking to Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson (casual) during their IMO podcast (via E! News ), Kylie said, “We do have a nanny. I always give a shout out because we couldn’t do it without her.”
She went on to explain, “We have her during regular work hours and really nothing outside of that” and “My husband and I have very busy schedules. We don’t necessarily want a live-in nanny or someone who’s going to be raising our kids void of us. That feels weird. We’re in a unique situation as well. We weren’t going to your typical online databases to find a random person from our neighborhood.”
Kylie also said that the grandparents help out with the kids: “We couldn’t do it without my parents. My parents live 15 minutes from us and they have helped us in every way imaginable. We do a lot with my parents every chance we get. We do things with Jason’s parents. We find that those are the values that we were raised with that we want our kids to have, not just because we tell them that, but because we live it.”
As for her approach to parenting, Kylie explained, “It is really important to me that my girls get to experience things where we get to drive past a shop and I say, ‘Oh, that was where Mom’s first job was.’ You get those moments of not only nostalgia, but you’re connected to your community on a deeper level and when you have that connection, I think you feel a better responsibility, a responsibility to give back and then that is the example that we get to set for our kids.”
