Lame duck Biden escapes the White House for Thanksgiving vacation in mega-wealthy Nantucket
President Joe Biden and members of his family left for Nantucket on Tuesday to spend the Thanksgiving holiday holed up on the small island off the coast of Massachusetts. The 82-year-old commander-in-chief escaped Washington D.C. with first lady Jill Biden after announcing a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah. Biden and his extended family will stay through the holiday weekend. They are scheduled to leave on Saturday. President Biden is scheduled to leave for Angola on Sunday for a trip to sub-Saharan African.
