A Texas man set to begin work as a detention officer had his job offer rescinded just days before starting allegedly due to his wife's devotion to a folk saint commonly linked to cartel and gang activity. The decision allegedly arose from his wife's devotion to La Santa Muerte, according to a federal lawsuit filed by Luis Borges, the dismissed detention officer, and internal Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) records obtained by KSAT.
