A Weather Channel in New York City showing a woman wearing a scarf associated with the pro-Palestine movement has sparked outrage on both sides of the debate. The ad, promoting The Weather Channel app, was spotted inside a subway station and shows a smiling woman wearing what appears to be a keffiyeh, which is a traditional headdress in parts of the Middle East. The image stirred anger online after the grassroots watchdog organization Stop Antisemitism took to X on Wednesday to ask why the network featured the scarf, calling it 'a symbol now associated with violence against Jews' after the October 7 attacks.
