Texas death row inmate Robert Roberson's last-ditch clemency plea before execution is rejected
A Texas board has rejected a last-ditch request for clemency for a man due to be executed this week over the murder of his daughter two decades ago. Robert Roberson, 57, is to be executed via lethal injection on Thursday despite a number of growing calls to have him exonerated. He was convicted in 2002 for the death of his two-year-old daughter Nikki, with investigators blaming it on the now-discredited shaken baby syndrome (SBS).
